In Oncourse, how do I post a video from an online host?

You can post a video hosted by an online provider (e.g., YouTube) within any Oncourse tool that uses the rich-text editor, such as Assignments, Forums, Messages, or Blogs. To do so:

  1. Copy the video's HTML source code from the site's designated embed feature. For YouTube, click the Share button underneath the video, and then the newly displayed Embed button. Make sure to check use old embed code.

  2. Open the Oncourse tool in question and compose your message or item. At the point where you want the video embedded, click the Source button at the top left corner of the rich-text editor. Paste the embed code into the post, and submit your message or entry.

Note: External content providers such as YouTube may alter their embedding methods at any time.
