How do I create, edit, or delete an event in My Involvement?

The event tool in My Involvement is to be used for advertising and promotion of student organization events. It does not reserve space or imply university approval of an event.

Note: You must be a designated organization officer in My Involvement to complete these instructions. Before proceeding, see How do I check and revise my membership status in My Involvement?

Create an event

  1. In My Involvement, click the Organizations tab.

  2. Click the name of the organization for which you want to schedule an event.

  3. Under "Events", click Schedule an Event. An eDoc form will open in a new window, with several required fields automatically completed with your information. Review and update the information if necessary.

  4. Complete the "Event Information" section of the form. Fields with a red asterisk ( * ) are required.

  5. Click Submit.

    If your event has been successfully submitted, the options at the bottom of the form will change to reload and close. Otherwise, an error message will appear in red detailing issues needing to be resolved before you can submit the form.

  6. Click close.

Your submission may be reviewed by an administrator before your event is posted to the My Involvement events calendar.

Edit or delete an event

  1. In My Involvement, click the Organizations tab.

  2. Click the name of the organization for which you want to edit or delete an event.

  3. Under "Events", click Edit next to the event you wish to edit or delete. An eDoc form will open in a new window.

  4. Under "How to edit this event":

    • To delete the event, choose Delete Event, and then click Submit.

    • To edit the event, choose Edit Event and update the fields you wish to change. Click Submit.

    • If you decide not to make any changes to the event, choose Do Nothing, and then click Close at the bottom of the page.

Changes to your event may require approval by the campus student activities office before they are reflected in My Involvement.
