What is Google Custom Search?
Google Custom Search (GCS), a free service from Google available at IU, allows you to create custom search engines and easily display results from those engines in HTML. With GCS, you can choose to search one or a collection of websites and only display results from those sites, and can be as general or specific as you like with what sites you search.
Installing GCS on a web page can be done simply, by copying and pasting a few lines of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and letting Google handle the rest. For examples of how to implement GCS on your website, see How do I use Google Custom Search on my web site?
