At IUB, who may use the UITS STCs and RTCs?

Because the UITS Student Technology Centers (STCs) at Indiana University Bloomington are funded entirely through the Student Technology Fee, they are reserved for student use. However, faculty and staff are also permitted to use these facilities if such use supports IU's instructional mission.

Residential Technology Centers (RTCs) are funded entirely by campus housing residents. They are intended for use by those who pay housing fees, whether they be students, faculty, or staff. The RTCs are not intended for use by the general student population.

IU conference organizers can pay a Conference Technology Fee of $5 per week per attendee for STC privileges. They may also fund printing for their participants in 100-page increments for $4 each. For more about the Conference Technology Fee, see About conference use of the STCs.

IU departments are expected to provide computing resources for their faculty and staff to use.

For more about the use of the STCs, see STC standards and practices.
