At IU, can I play games on UITS computers?
At Indiana University, UITS workstations and computer systems are to be used only for purposes that are related to the university's mission of education, research, and public service. IU students, faculty, and staff may use these computing resources only for purposes related to their studies, their instruction, their jobs, and other university-sanctioned activities.
Whenever a Student Technology Center (STC) is full and students are waiting to use a computer, anyone doing non-academic work will be asked to leave. For more information about policies regarding student use of the STCs, see Guidelines for use of the Student Technology Centers.
Game servers and IRC are prohibited on UITS central computing systems, but you may use the IU network to access such services. However, such activity must not interfere with the academic use of IU's computing systems.
