ARCHIVED: What was SUVON?

Note: IHETS has retired the SUVON service. To ensure proper call routing, UITS discontinued SUVON access as of May 29, 2008. For steps UITS is taking to minimize the financial impact on SUVON users, see ARCHIVED: About the SUVON retirement.

SUVON was a private state voice network provided by the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System (IHETS) and linking the telephone systems of 75 college and university campuses and learning centers throughout Indiana. Indiana University faculty and staff had dialout access to SUVON (State Universities Voice Network) for university business.
