What was SUVON?

SUVON was a private state voice network provided by the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System (IHETS) and linking the telephone systems of 75 college and university campuses and learning centers throughout Indiana. Indiana University faculty and staff had dialout access to SUVON (State Universities Voice Network) for university business.
