Microsoft Outlook

To send a fax over the Internet through Outlook 2003 or 2007, you need to sign up with a fax service provider. For information about providers, in Outlook 2003 or 2007, from the File menu, choose New, and then Internet Fax. A message will appear that says "To use Fax Service to send your fax, you must first sign up with a fax service provider. Click OK to open a page in your web browser where you can choose a provider." Some of the choices on the web page are eXtremeFax, InterFAX, RapidFax, MyFax, Send2Fax, and Venali. Each service offers slightly different options; select the one most appropriate for your needs.

Web-based services

You can also find companies that provide web-based services for sending email directly to fax machines. An Internet search will bring up several providers.
