At IUB, where can I purchase food or drink in the Wells Library, and where can I eat or drink it?

Note: These hours apply during the regular academic year; hours during summers, holidays, and breaks will vary. You may be able to find special hours of operation at the links below.

Food and drink are available for purchase at the following places in the Herman B Wells Library:

  • The Commons Café just off the lobby

    Monday-Thursday 7am-1am
    Friday 7am-9pm
    Saturday 11am-5pm
    Sunday 11am-1am

    IU RPS Hours and Locations

  • The Cyber Café on the ground floor

    Monday-Thursday 7:30am-11pm
    Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
    Saturday noon-5pm
    Sunday noon-11pm

    IMU Department Hours (select a date if you want to see hours other than the current week's)

  • Vending machines on the ground floor

    Monday-Thursday 8am-midnight
    Friday 8am-9pm
    Saturday 10am-9pm
    Sunday 11am-midnight

  • Vending machines just off the lobby

    Open during regular library building hours.

In the Wells Library, food is permitted only in the lobby, the cafeteria, and the West Tower. Covered beverages are permitted throughout the library. There may be some exceptions to this policy in designated areas posted on site. See the IUB Libraries Food and Beverage Policy.
