What is IU Mobile Web?

IU Mobile Web at https://m.iu.edu/ is a mobile portal service for the Indiana University community, designed for smartphones and some other mobile devices.

See Recommended devices below.

Note: iPhone and Android users can also install the IU Mobile App, which offers the same services and functions found on IU Mobile Web.

From IU Mobile, you can access a wide range of services. Many are publicly available, while others have features requiring authentication. For customized information, tap the Login button at the top of the home page, and log in with your IU Network ID. To see results for a different campus, tap the Preferences icon (the small gear at the top right of the home page).

  • My Classes: With Mobile CAS authentication, My Classes displays your class schedule; you can also read some content from Oncourse, such as announcements, forum postings, and items in Resources.

  • Email: Links to both Imail and Umail.

  • Dining Services (IUB only): Review your dining account information and menus and nutrition information for IUB dining services.

  • Bus Schedules (IUB only): The first version of this service provides static pages of the IUB campus bus and Bloomington Transit schedules; future versions will feature both schedules for other IU campuses, and dynamically updated real-time schedule information.

  • Campus 411: At IUB and IUPUI, connects you to a live operator for campus assistance.

  • Classifieds: Classified ads from OneStart.

  • Maps: A set of aerial and street maps of the IU campuses, searchable by campus building.

  • Athletics: Provides news, schedules, and other information on IU Athletics, by team.

  • Computer Labs: Displays real-time ratio of open computers to total available in each lab at most IU campuses.

  • People: The mobile version of http://people.iu.edu/ (IU Address Book) allows you to search for contact information for IU students, faculty, and staff. On many smartphones, click-to-call and click-to-email are available to authenticated users.

  • News: An RSS parser lists items from the IU News Room. Future versions will allow you to select other feeds provided by IU.

  • Calendar: Lists events from OneStart's My Calendar, along with your class schedule. When authenticated, you see events occurring on your primary campus by default; you can also choose to view events for other campuses.

  • IT Notices: Displays IT Notices from UITS, as well as contact information for reporting problems; see At IU, what are my options for accessing IT Notices?

  • Knowledge Base: Find answers to your computing questions with a search of IU's Knowledge Base.

  • Ask IU: A general information question-and-answer service for the IU community.

  • Emergency Contacts: Provides phone numbers for police, medical, and other emergency services on each campus. When authenticated, you will see your home campus information by default, but can choose to view other campus contacts as well.

  • Campus Alerts: An indicator redirects you to the Emergency Information Module; see About emergency notifications at Indiana University. Alerts you receive are controlled by your campus status administration in OneStart; see For IU emergency notifications, how do I update my contact information? If you use an iPhone or BlackBerry, any campus alert issued will display an icon on your home page.

  • Feedback: A simple way to request new IU Mobile services or to provide feedback to the developers. UITS encourages you to help improve the service by offering your suggestions and comments.
