In Lynx, how do I open a specific URL?

To open a specific URL in Lynx, press g. At the bottom of the screen, the following will appear:

 URL to open:

Enter the address of the URL you would like to open.

For example, if you want to go directly to Yahoo and you know the URL, run Lynx, press g, and at the "URL to open:" prompt, enter:

 https://www.yahoo.com/

You can also start Lynx with a specific URL. At the Unix shell prompt, enter:

 lynx URL

Replace URL with the URL of the page that you want Lynx to start with. For example, if you want to start up Lynx with Yahoo, then at the Unix shell prompt, enter:

 lynx http://www.yahoo.com/
