Where can I get help with Maple?

Several sources of help are available for Maple:

  • Maple provides extensive help documentation accessible from within the application. From the Maple prompt, enter either ? or ?<topic> (replacing <topic> with the command for which you're seeking help). For example, for help with the subs command, enter:
      ?subs

Examples are provided near the end of every help page.

  • Maplesoft, the company that distributes Maple, provides an online Maple Portal offering tutorials to help new users learn how to use key tools and perform essential tasks in Maple.

Additionally, at Indiana University, see the UITS Research Analytics Getting Started with Maple tutorial for new users, or search the IU Knowledge Base for answers to frequently asked questions about Maple.

If you have questions about using statistical and mathematical software at Indiana University, contact Research Analytics. Research Analytics is located on the IU Bloomington campus at Woodburn Hall 200; staff are available for consultation Monday-Friday 9am-noon and by appointment.
