ARCHIVED: Clear all variables in Maple and restart without quitting the application

Amos and Maple will not be licensed by Indiana University beyond June 30, 2023. For help with the transition, contact the UITS Research Applications and Deep Learning team.

To clear all variables in Maple and restart without having to reload the application, enter:

restart;

This will clear all values, unload all packages, and reinitialize Maple. However, this command will not free up memory previously allocated to Maple; consequently, when doing large jobs, the only way to improve speed is to exit and restart Maple.

Note:

When running xmaple, or Maple for Windows or Mac, simply selecting previous commands and deleting them from the screen will not remove their values, as restart does.
