In Windows, to view the amount of RAM your computer has:

  1. Press Win-e to open Windows Explorer.
  2. Click System properties, or right-click Computer or My Computer and then select Properties.

In Windows XP, click the General tab.

Your computer's technical specifications will display, including the amount of RAM installed. Look for an entry that says "Memory (RAM)" or "Installed memory (RAM)".
