Scan removable media for viruses at IU

Computers in the Indiana University Student Technology Centers (STCs) are continually updated with the latest virus profiles, so you can scan removable media from any STC computer. Technology Center Consultants can also assist you in this procedure.

Occasionally, a virus can damage an infected file. Also, sometimes it is not possible to remove a virus, due to file corruption. In these cases, it may or may not be possible to recover some or all of the file, depending on the situation and the extent of the damage.
