Access the Timeline tab

Using the Timeline tab in Kaltura, you can add, edit, and view chapters and slides in media content.

To access the Timeline tab:

1. Log into Kaltura MediaSpace; for details, see Access Kaltura: Via Kaltura MediaSpace.
2. Navigate to the media you wish to edit.
3. Click Actions, and then, from the drop-down list, select Edit.

You should see the Timeline tab in the row of tabs beneath the player.

Use Timeline chapters and slides

In Kaltura, chapters work like bookmarks, allowing viewers to navigate quickly between points in the media content. Chapters are displayed as an overlay in the top left of the player.

Slides added in the Timeline will display additional information during content playback. You can configure them to change at predetermined points during playback. By default, slides are displayed full-screen with video or screen-share content in an overlay; viewers can adjust the size, layout, and location of the slide overlay.
