ARCHIVED: At Indiana University, which UITS computer should I use as my POP mail server?

UITS has discontinued POP mail in favor of IMAP. UITS removed POP mail from the Steel cluster on February 28, 2002, and from the Shakespeare and Jewel systems on June 30. For more information on the POP and IMAP protocols, see the Knowledge Base document Why UITS doesn't support POP mail To read your Jewel system email, you can either use an IMAP client or use the user-friendly, menu-driven Pine email program. This program starts automatically when you use telnet to connect directly to your Pearl or Jade account. You can also use IU Webmail to access your Jewel systems mail.
