ARCHIVED: In Windows 95, 98, or Me, how do I reinstall TCP/IP?

To reinstall TCP/IP, you'll need your CD for Windows 95, 98, or Me. If you don't have a Windows 95, 98, or Me CD, the files you need might already be on your hard drive. To find them, from the menu, select , then . In the "Named:" field, enter:
cabs
If a folder named cabs
appears, then you have the files
on your hard drive in that folder.
Once you have the CD or have located the cab
files,
follow these instructions to remove and reinstall TCP/IP:
- From the menu, select , then .
- Double-click the icon. Highlight and click the button.
- Click
cab
files. When prompted to restart your computer, click . If for some reason you are not asked, go ahead and reboot it yourself. . If you are prompted for the Windows files,
insert the Windows CD or browse to the directory containing the proper
