How do I contact the Network Operations Center for Indiana University (NOC)?

The Network Operations Center for Indiana University (NOC) has two locations, one in the ICTC and one in the CIB. The NOC is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year. IT Pros and UITS staff can contact the NOC directly with network-related questions or problems. The NOC typically refers questions and requests from users to their IT Pro or the Support Center.

Notes:
  • For Data Center firewall and DNS requests, use the Campus Network Portal (CNP).
  • For non-Data Center static IPs/DNS requests, send email to dns-admin@iu.edu.
  • For requests regarding phones, data jack installations or activations, VLAN changes, Data Center networking requests, or estimates regarding UAO projects, use the Telecommunications Request Form.

For other campus network-related requests or questions, or to report a network problem, contact the NOC at noc@iu.edu. Include as much pertinent information as possible, such as:

  • IP addresses
  • Date/time issue occurred
  • Location
  • Device types involved
  • Description of issue

The NOC will generate a ticket that will be reviewed and escalated to an engineer as necessary.

Critical issues

If an issue is deemed critical, UITS recommends following up your email with a phone call to the NOC and reference the ticket number for immediate escalation.
