This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Information here may no longer be accurate, and links may no longer be available or reliable.
Important:
If you've already been migrated to Exchange Online, instead refer to Configure your mail client for Exchange Online.
- You can read your Indiana University Exchange email with most popular email clients. However, UITS recommends configuring
Outlook to communicate directly with the IU Exchange server for best support of calendars, scheduling, and other features. Other web-based, IMAP, and mobile clients vary in functionality. For instructions, follow the links in the Full-featured clients section, below.
Important:IU's Exchange Online environment does not support IMAP. For email configuration instructions, including details for those using Linux and Thunderbird, see Configure your email client for Exchange Online.
- Although UITS has tested the email clients listed below and supports their use, other clients may work as well; for general instructions, see ARCHIVED: Configure your email client to work with IU email systems if it isn't covered in the Knowledge Base.
