In the IUIE, why is my report display screen blank?

Some users have reported seeing only a blank screen on the right side of the IUIE window (the report display pane). This is usually due to a departmental server restriction (e.g., a local firewall or proxy server).

If your departmental configuration blocks non-standard ports, you will see the blank screen. For example, in certain cases the IUIE attempts to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) over port 9000 instead of over port 443. This causes blank screens for users disallowed from using SSL over ports other than the approved SSL port of 443.
