ARCHIVED: If you can send but not receive messages from your IU student mail account

Important:
As of May 17, 2022, Exchange Online is the official university email for all IU students. For more, see ARCHIVED: About the student email move from Gmail at IU to Exchange.
If you can send email in Gmail at IU, but cannot receive email sent to you, one of these may be the cause:
- Email forwarding: You may have chosen to have your email delivered to an external address, such as a
yahoo.com
orhotmail.com
address. To find out if your email is being forwarded, and to what address, see ARCHIVED: How to tell if your mail is forwarded. To change your email forwarding, see Change your primary email address. - Email delivery to a Microsoft Exchange account: If you have an Exchange account, email sent to your primary IU email address by another Exchange user will be delivered directly to your Exchange account. (This will not happen if the sender specifies the fully qualified domain name for another account, or if the sender uses an IU email address other than your primary email address.)
You can access your Exchange account at Outlook on the web.
If you can log in at this URL, you have an Exchange account, and you may have unread email messages there.
You can also forward your Exchange email to the account you use most often. To set your preferred email address at IU, see Change your primary email address.
