ARCHIVED: In Microsoft Word for Mac OS X, how do I manage page numbering with a cover page?

Microsoft Word relies on sections for its use of page numbering. If you want page numbering to begin after the title page:
- Place the cursor at the bottom of the cover page, and from the menu, select , and then .
- Place your cursor on the first page of your document (not the cover page). From the menu, choose .
- In the dialog box that appears, make sure that the box next to is not checked. Then click .
- With the cursor on the second page of your document, from the menu, choose .
- In the dialog box that appears, in the "Alignment" and "Position" sections, choose the location where the page number will appear on the document. Make sure that the box next to is checked.
- Click the button.
- In the dialog box that appears, go to the "Page Numbering"
section, click
