Campus accessibility resources at IU

On this page:

Overview

Several offices throughout Indiana University provide resources to students, faculty, staff, and visitors with disabilities. The following will help you determine which office can best assist you.

Assistive Technology and Accessibility Centers

For students, faculty, and staff at all campuses, the Assistive Technology and Accessibility Centers (ATAC) provide resources including a software and hardware loan program, accessible eTexts, captioning services, demonstrations of adaptive technologies, and more. For contact information, office hours, and a comprehensive list of services offered, see Assistive technology services at IU.

Office of Institutional Equity

The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) ensures that the university complies with federal, state, and local affirmative action and equal opportunity laws (such as the ADA) by providing training, education, and access to data. It also investigates complaints of discrimination or harassment. For contact information, see the OIE website.

Accessible Educational Services (AES) offices by campus

While ATAC focuses more on information technology resources, students may need other services such as test proctors, classroom accommodations (for example, accessible seating), or advising. If you need these or similar services, contact the campus-appropriate AES office below.
