Campus accessibility resources at IU

Several offices throughout Indiana University provide resources to students, faculty, staff, and visitors with disabilities. The following will help you determine which office can best assist you.

On this page:

Assistive Technology and Accessibility Center

The Assistive Technology and Accessibility Center (ATAC) provides the following resources to students, faculty, and staff affiliated with all regional campuses of IU: A software and hardware loan program, accessible eTexts, captioning services, demonstrations of adaptive technologies, and more. For contact information, office hours, and a comprehensive list of services offered, see Assistive technology services at IU.

Office of Affirmative Action

The Office of Affirmative Action (OAA) ensures that the university complies with federal, state, and local affirmative action and equal opportunity laws (such as the ADA) by providing training, education, and access to data. It also investigates complaints of discrimination or harassment. Each campus has its own OAA. For contact information, see Affirmative Action Campus Contacts.

Additional resources for students

While ATAC focuses more on information technology resources, students may need other services such as test proctors, classroom accommodations (e.g., accessible seating), or advising. If you need these or similar services, contact the campus-appropriate office below.
