At IU, how do I get a credit for a used clicker?

Top Hat has replaced TurningPoint Cloud as Indiana University's integrated student response system. Because Top Hat is primarily a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) service, you will typically not need a physical response device (i.e., a clicker) when participating in a course using Top Hat.

Top Hat will buy back previously purchased clickers from IU students. To participate:

  1. Purchase a Top Hat subscription. (If you purchase it at an IU Bookstore, save your receipt.)
  2. Fill out the Indiana University Clicker Return Form.
  3. You'll receive an email confirmation with a prepaid mailing label. Print out the prepaid mailing label, and then place it on a package containing your used clicker and your Top Hat subscription receipt (if you purchased it at the bookstore).
  4. Mail the package to Top Hat.

Once Top Hat receives and processes the package, you'll get a one-time $20 credit toward your Top Hat subscription purchase.
