Platform restrictions: As a cloud-based service, SharePoint Online is accessed via web browsers; the latest versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge are supported.

Data classification approval: SharePoint Online is approved for use with Public, University-internal, and Restricted data. Critical data requires approval from the appropriate Data Stewards; site owners requesting approval to use Critical data will receive instructions on how to make those requests.
