About standard EITS workstation builds

On this page:

Note:
EITS no longer offers a Windows 7 build. Windows 7 is unable to use modern encryption protocols when connecting to file servers, limiting the ability of EITS to secure such systems.

Overview

EITS uses Unified Device Management (UDM) services to deploy and manage standardized operating system and software configurations (builds) for Windows and macOS workstations. For any questions or concerns not addressed in this document, contact EITS.

Availability

The standard EITS workstation builds are provided as a service to full-time staff members under EITS support (for use on laptops and desktops) and to teams (for use on shared workstations). EITS builds are not available for some use cases, including kiosk systems, servers, and workstations used by staff who are not supported by EITS. For more information on service availability, contact EITS.
