Following are known issues with Identity Finder at Indiana University:

Issue Description Workaround
Search scan fails because the hard drive is full The Identity Finder client agent extracts files from compressed archives (e.g. .zip files) to the system Temp directory for scanning. In some cases, the Temp directory may fill up quickly, causing the system hard drive to run out of space, which in turn causes the Identity Finder search to stop and display a failed search message. If increasing drive space is not an option, you can move the system Temp folder to another storage drive (as explained in this Microsoft article). Changing the location of the system Temp folder will affect all applications, including the operating system.
