ARCHIVED: About the Quarry Gateway service retirement

The Quarry Gateway Web Services Hosting System, the hosting environment for Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) Science Gateway and Web Service allocations, was retired on January 1, 2018. No direct replacement system is planned.

The Quarry Gateway system retirement moved through the following phases:

Science Gateway users migrated to Jetstream: June 1 through August 31, 2017
XSEDE central services migrated to Jetstream or a commercial cloud service: September 5 through December 31, 2017
Quarry Gateway system fully retired: January 1, 2018
