ARCHIVED: Should I install antivirus software on my Palm or Pocket PC device?

Mobile devices that have infrared, Wi-Fi, or cellular capabilities are potential entry points for viruses, worms, malicious software, and denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, just like any other computing device. You can protect devices from these risks by using antivirus software.

At this time, UITS does not have any licensing agreements for antivirus software for mobile devices. However, UITS recommends that you use antivirus software on all networked computing devices. While UITS does not endorse any particular product, the following products have been minimally tested and found to work in the Indiana University environment. Refer to the software vendors' web sites for support and to learn more about their products.
