Condor-G is a set of tools designed to help researchers submit and manage jobs in a grid computing environment. With Condor-G, you can run a job on several systems in a grid, using only one script launched from a single system.

Condor-G is installed on several Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) login systems. Use Modules to include it in your user environment; at the command prompt of your XSEDE digital service, enter:

  modules load condor-g

For information about using Condor-G for metascheduling batch jobs on XSEDE digital services, see Metascheduling with Condor-G in the XSEDE User Portal.

Several XSEDE digital services support Condor-G with Matchmaking, a method for dynamically matching a job with the clusters on which it can run, based on criteria specified in the job submission script. For information about using Condor-G with Matchmaking on XSEDE digital services, see Matchmaking with Condor-G in the XSEDE User Portal.
