Outlook on the web has the same functionality across major browsers in most cases. For help using Outlook on the web, in your Inbox, select ? (question mark) in the top right.

In Outlook Web App 2010, the ability to encrypt and digitally sign email messages using S/MIME is available only in Internet Explorer 7 and later. You can access your S/MIME control settings by going to your OWA options, clicking Settings on the left, and then clicking the S/MIME tab. You may need to download and install the S/MIME control in order to view the options. For more, see Microsoft's Outlook Web App and S/MIME.

At Indiana University, Client Certificates are provided by the InCommon Certificate Service. For more, including how to get a certificate, see ARCHIVED: Use an S/MIME client certificate to secure your email messages with a digital signature.
