Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) allocations are made for a period of one year, and are reviewed by the relevant committee prior to being renewed or discontinued. Users are responsible for submitting applications for renewal and extension of storage allocations in advance of the expiration of an allocation.

Users will be notified if a request for renewal is not approved. Data will be retained by the resource provider for six months after the end of an allocation.
