Overview

Sonocent Audio Notetaker is an audio note-taking program available without fee to qualifying Indiana University students with documented need through the Assistive Technology and Accessibility Centers (ATAC). The program assists anyone who has difficulty taking notes due to a disability. If you have a note-taking accommodation, Audio Notetaker will help you capture information in class that may otherwise be lost.

Sonocent Audio Notetaker is available for both Windows and macOS desktop operating systems. A companion app, ARCHIVED: Sonocent Link, is available for iOS and Android.

Some of Audio Notetaker's features include:

  • Capture full audio recordings of classes or meetings
  • Export audio, audio and images, or text and images
  • Import audio, images, slides, and transcriptions
  • Color highlight important snippets of audio or sections
  • Organize and categorize notes by color
  • Text to speech
