Install Sonocent Audio Notetaker
Before installing Sonocent Audio Notetaker, note the following:
- Audio Notetaker works with Windows 8 or later.
- Ensure your Windows computer has the latest updates. For help, see Windows Update: FAQ.
ARCHIVED: Sonocent Audio Notetaker is available without fee to qualifying Indiana University students with disabilities through the Assistive Technology and Accessibility Centers (ATAC). To install:
- Go to Sonocent and download the most recent version of Audio Notetaker for Windows.
- Locate the downloaded file on your computer; downloaded files will normally appear in the
Downloads
folder. The file will have the following naming convention:SonocentAudioNotetaker_Win_#.#.#.#
- To begin the installation, double-click the file.
- Check , and then click .
- A "User Account Control" window may appear asking if you want to allow the app to make changes to your computer. Click .
- When the installation completes, click .
- A dialog box will appear with four options. Select the first option.
- If you have already purchased Audio Notetaker, select to activate your copy.
- Enter your license key/serial number.
- Read the license agreement, and then check .
- Click
If online activation fails, you will need to activate Audio Notetaker manually. From the dialogue box, copy the unique activation ID and email it along with your license/serial number to
support@sonocent.com
. Sonocent will generate a manual activation code that you can enter into the box to complete your activation.
