The Geographic Information Science Gateway, based on the GISolve Toolkit, is an Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) Science Gateway. It provides a web-based and cyberinfrastructure-enhanced high-performance, distributed, and collaborative problem-solving environment for multi-disciplinary researchers performing large-scale spatial analysis and modeling (SAM), and helps non-technical users directly access XSEDE digital services.

Its focus is on geographic information science, an interdisciplinary field involving geography and other social sciences, computer science, geodesy, and information sciences for the study of generic issues in the development and use of computationally intensive geographic information systems (GIS) technologies.

For more, see the GISolve home page.

For more about XSEDE Science Gateways, see the Science Gateways page on the XSEDE website.
