Use CASE tools with ArcGIS geodatabases

Note:
Esri has announced that ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap and its associated suite of tools, including ArcGlobe, etc.) will no longer be available through the Education Site License beginning July 1, 2024. This means that all current ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) users will need to transition to ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Online by June 30, 2024. For further details, see ArcMap Retirement in Education Programs.

If you have ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced, you can use CASE tools to design and create a geodatabase. CASE tools are most useful for designing large, complex databases. CASE tools allow you to diagram the structure of the geodatabase using Unified Modeling Language (UML), a notation system that has become an industry standard for diagramming object models.

For more about ArcGIS CASE tools, see Using CASE tools and UML to create a geodatabase schema.
