Description: This project will implement functionality that allows administrative offices at IU to have lifecycle communications with prospects, admits, students, alumni, and faculty. It is being delivered via a vended product called Talisma.

This project is being sponsored by the IUPUI Office of Admissions and the IUPUI Registrar's Office. UITS is hosting the application, and we will be building interfaces between the Talisma product and PeopleSoft, the core system for student-related data.

Milestones and status:

  • June 24, 2008: Contract signed
  • July 1-July 14, 2008: Project planning and project team identification
  • July 14-July 28, 2008: Vendor/functional analysis
  • July 21, 2008: Targeted delivery date for test and production hardware setup
  • July 21-July 28, 2008: Targeted delivery date for software install
  • January 8, 2009: Project moved to production for IUPUI Admissions campaigns

Benefits: Lifecycle communications between IU and students/faculty/alumni that lead to better recruiting and retention of students
