ARCHIVED: Microsoft Imagine at IU
At Indiana University, the Microsoft Imagine program provides students with professional-level development tools, software, and services at no cost. Microsoft Imagine also offers free online training courses, promotional offers from third-party companies, and the opportunity to participate in Microsoft Imagine competitions.
To access Microsoft Imagine at IU, you first need to create an Imagine profile and verify your student identity:
- Go to the Microsoft Imagine Account page, and then click .
- When prompted, use your Microsoft account to sign in.
If you don't have a Microsoft account, click
, and then fill out and submit the "Create an account" form.Note:You will not be able to use your IU email address for your Microsoft account username. Either use another email address or click to create an Outlook.com account. - Once you're signed in, make sure your account information is accurate and up to date, and then click . You will be redirected to your Imagine account management page.
- On the account management page, on the left, under "Account Status", click .
- On the Student Verification page, click , select .
- In the

, and then click .Note:If your browser warns you that it prevented the site from opening a pop-up window, enable pop-ups for this site, and then clickagain.

If prompted, log in with your IU username and passphrase.
- When your status is verified, click to return to your Imagine account management page. Under "Account Status", you should see "Verified" and your account's expiration date.
Once your student status is verified, you can download any of the software available from the Imagine software catalog. To view the offerings, in the Microsoft Imagine menu, click
