As an instructor or site owner, you can determine which events the Site Stats tool records; see ARCHIVED: Using the Site Stats tool. Following is a definition of each event available in the tool for course or project sites. Tools are listed in the order in which they appear in the Site Stats display.

Note: Most entries in the "Overview" section are self-explanatory; however, some that may be unclear are defined here. Also, in portfolio sites, Site Stats also covers tools from the portfolio suite; however, the entries for those tools are self-explanatory, and are therefore not defined here.

Overview information	Definition
Total visits	Total number of visits to the site, including multiple visits by a single user
Users who have visited site	Total number of individuals that have visited the site; note that this may include people who are not members of the site if you have made any of the items (e.g., a file in Resources) publicly accessible and distributed the URL beyond the members of the site
Site Members	Number of current site participants/members
Members who have visited site	Number of site members who have visited (if no files are public, this should be the same as the number of users who have visited)
Events	Total number of events recorded as activity (see entries below)
