Description: The UIPO purchased a software inventory application to assist in alerting users of the risks of peer-to-peer file sharing applications and of vulnerabilities in installed software applications.

Status: Completed; UIPO licensed Secunia CSI in November 2009 and is distributing the client. Email notifications were sent starting in March 2010.

Comment process: Email uipo@iu.edu.

Benefits: Users will be able to protect their systems and data by removing or patching software that currently puts them at risk.
