SharePoint at IU

Note:
  • The following applies only to the UITS SharePoint service, not SharePoint Online.
  • SharePoint Online supports all common browsers.

Before attempting to access SharePoint resources at Indiana University, UITS strongly recommends that you run the UITS SharePoint Assistant, which will automatically configure your Windows or Mac computer for SharePoint; see ARCHIVED: About the UITS SharePoint Assistant.

SharePoint supports the following browsers:

  • Windows: Internet Explorer 7.0 and later, Firefox 3.0 and later
  • Mac: Safari 4.0 and later

Although most common browsers will work with SharePoint, some advanced features are available only in Internet Explorer.

If you are using Windows and are having difficulties accessing SharePoint, configure your browser by following the appropriate steps below.

If you are using Mac OS X, ARCHIVED: run the UITS SharePoint Assistant.
