ARCHIVED: Read Exchange mail using Evolution for Linux

These instructions are for configuring the Evolution mail client for Ubuntu to connect to your Indiana University Exchange email account. For alternative options, see ARCHIVED: Configure your IU Exchange email if you haven't yet been migrated to Exchange Online.

Note:
While these steps should work with any Gnome-based Linux build, UITS recommends using Evolution with the latest version of Ubuntu. UITS cannot provide support or recommendations for other Linux distributions at this time.
  1. In your Ubuntu or Gnome settings, go to Online Accounts.
  2. Under "Add an account", select Exchange and enter your primary IU email address.
  3. Enter your IU passphrase for the password.
  4. Close the window.
  5. Open Evolution. Your account should be configured as a collection account and will start to sync.
