ARCHIVED: If you can no longer access some XSEDE services

This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Information here may no longer be accurate, and links may no longer be available or reliable.

Following are some reasons you may no longer be able to access some Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) services:

  • You may not be part of an active project: To determine whether you are listed on an active project, go to your Summary page in the XSEDE User Portal, and then scroll down to the "My Projects" section. If no active projects are listed under "My Projects", you will be unable to access most XSEDE digital services.

To regain access, either apply for a new project or request to be added to an existing project. For more, see XSEDE Allocations Overview.

  • You need to set up multi-factor authentication: Access to the Single Sign-on Login Hub is protected by XSEDE multi-factor authentication (MFA) with Duo. For instructions on setting up XSEDE MFA with Duo, see Multi-Factor Authentication with Duo in the XSEDE User Portal.

If you are part of an active project and enrolled in XSEDE MFA, and you still are unable to access your XSEDE digital services, contact the XSEDE Help Desk.
