Reset your voice mail PIN or passcode

On this page:

UniCom Enterprise Voice

If you use Microsoft Skype for Business/Lync or an IP or USB phone instead of a traditional phone, follow the instructions below to reset a forgotten voice mail PIN or passcode. If you have a traditional phone, use the UMS instructions.

The following applies only to the PIN you use to call the voice mail system from a phone other than your office phone; see Access your voice mail in UniCom Enterprise Voice. Depending on your setup and what type of phone you have, you may also have one or more PINs for the phone itself and/or a PIN for Lync conferencing; those are separate from the voice mail PIN.
  1. Log into Outlook Web App (OWA).
  2. At the top right, click Settings (the gear icon), and then Options.
  3. On the left, click phone. If it's not already selected, click voice mail near the top.
  4. Under "reset PIN", click Reset my voice mail PIN.... This will send a temporary PIN to your Exchange email inbox. Call Microsoft Outlook Voice Access, and use that PIN to log in. You can then change the PIN using the voice prompts. For details, see Access your voice mail in UniCom Enterprise Voice

For an introduction to UniCom, including how-to PDFs and videos, see UniCom.

UMS (legacy phone system)

  1. In a web browser, log into UMS Voicemail.
  2. Under Options, select Change Passcode.
  3. Enter your passcode here in both boxes (the second one confirms it). Click Change Passcode.
