On IU List, how do I identify and remove bouncing subscribers?

Note:
Only list owners can perform the actions in this document.

If your list has a high percentage of bouncing subscribers, IU List will notify you that you should examine your list for bouncing mail addresses. Note that the report may be a false alarm, due to network outages or other circumstances.

  1. Log into the campus IU List website for your list; see What is IU List, and how do I use it?
  2. Find the correct list on the left-side panel, and click Admin.
  3. Select the Manage Subscribers tab or link.

The table of subscribers will identify bouncing addresses with a light pink bounce. Click bounce to examine the mail headers for the bounced message. Mark these subscribers' checkboxes and click Delete selected email addresses to remove them.
