Overview
Sibelius is music notation and education software for creating, editing, printing, and playing musical scores. Sibelius is distributed by Avid Technology, Inc. For more, see Avid's Sibelius product page.
Availability at IU
At Indiana University, the Jacobs School of Music makes Sibelius available for use by IU Bloomington students, faculty, and staff:
- At IU Bloomington, you can access Sibelius from the Mac computers in the Student Technology Centers (STCs) located in the William & Gayle Cook Music Library.

- IU Bloomington students, faculty, and staff can download and install Sibelius from IUware:
- Jacobs School of Music faculty who want Sibelius installed on an office workstation should email Music IT Services at musicits@iu.edu.
For additional instructions, including how to connect to IU's Sibelius license server, you will need to be logged in.
