ARCHIVED: Changes you need to make in FootPrints if you change your primary email address

If you plan to change your personal primary IU email address, you'll need to make some changes in FootPrints, depending on your user role:

  • Agent: At the upper right of your FootPrints home page, click Preferences and change your email address to reflect your primary email address.

    Notify your workspace administrator that you have changed your primary email address and that the workspace changes outlined below are needed.

  • Workspace administrator:
    • For yourself: At the upper right of your FootPrints home page, click Preferences and change your email address to reflect your primary email address.
    • For both yourself and non-administrator agents: If you have any Auto Run Reports set up, go to Administration > Workspace > Auto Run Reports and modify your reports to send email to the new primary email address.

      Change email addresses in email error notifications. You should add the new address first, marking the Full Rights checkbox, and then click Remove for the old address. See Email error notifications.

      To change email addresses in places like Escalations and Mail Preferences, you will need to configure the changes in your test workspace, and then contact fphelp@iu.edu to have the changes moved into production. See Making changes in production.

      If you have searches or reports with criteria based on full email addresses, modify the criteria to reflect the new email address.
