ARCHIVED: How can I find the username for my account on an XSEDE digital resource at TACC?

This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Information here may no longer be accurate, and links may no longer be available or reliable.

Note: If your Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) allocation includes time or space on a Texas Advance Computing Center (TACC) digital service, you must activate your TACC account before you can use the XSEDE User Portal or SSH to access that service. TACC will email you a welcome message that includes your TACC User Portal username and a link to the TACC User Portal and instructions for activating your account. Once you've activated your account and created a TACC User Portal password, you can use your TACC credentials to authenticate via SSH to your accounts on TACC digital services. You'll also be able to access those accounts (with your XSEDE-wide login) from the XSEDE User Portal.

If you've forgotten your username for logging into an XSEDE digital service hosted at TACC, you can find it by logging into the XSEDE User Portal, and then, on the My XSEDE tab, clicking Accounts. Your TACC username will be listed in the rows for the TACC systems on which you have accounts.

Alternatively, on the Password Reset page on the TACC User Portal, click Forgot username?. Then, under "Email address", enter the email address associated with your XSEDE account, and then click Submit. In email, you'll receive a "TACC Account Password Reset" message including your TACC User Portal username.

If you encounter a problem or have a question, contact the XSEDE Help Desk.
