Primary UITS contact: John Grigutis
Completed: September 22, 2014
Description: Building upon the former ARCHIVED: Mobile device management service project, Get Connected for iOS simplifies the process of configuring iOS devices for various IU services, installs necessary certificates, and helps users adhere to IU's security guidelines.
The service configures the following:
- Security
- Passcode
- Encryption
- Certificates
- Email
- Cyrus
- Exchange
- Imail
- Umail
- VPN
- SSL VPN
- Wi-Fi

- IU Secure
Future development will focus on the following:
- Automatic registration of Wi-Fi (MAC) addresses
- Installation and configuration of InCommon S/MIME certificates/keys
- Certificate-based authentication for supported IU services
- Support for OS X clients
Outcome: A one-stop location for iOS device configuration; any broadly available IU service can potentially be configured for the user

- January 2013: Began work on rewriting the project
- June 2013: Presentation and demonstration given to UITS employees
