Request a custom URL for Go.IU or Go.IUPUI

A custom URL uses a word that is easy to remember in place of a randomly generated code. For example, the word "music" is used for a short URL, as in http://go.iu.edu/music.

University Communications and Marketing (UCM) must approve custom URLs before they become available. Faculty and staff can request a custom URL using the Go URL Request Form.

Custom URL requests may take up to 24 hours to be approved and to become available. All requests are on a first-come, first-served basis, but other factors may be involved in the decision.
