How do I request a custom URL for Go.IU or Go.IUPUI?

A custom URL uses a word that is easy to remember in place of a randomly generated code. For example, the word "music" is used for a short URL, as in http://go.iu.edu/music.

IU Communications must approve custom URLs before they become available. Faculty and staff can request a custom URL using the Go URL Request Form (requires CAS authentication).

Custom URL requests may take up to 24 hours to be approved and to become available. All requests are on a first-come, first-served basis, but other factors may be involved in the decision.

If you have questions or comments related to this service, email the Go.IU team.
